Digo ok, dividimos os trabalhos para esse dia, pois há muita coisa para fazer e o tempo não perdoa. Mudo de roupa, calço chinelos. Para sair do quarto, os pés têm de entrar na água. O hotel parece Veneza, com a diferença que não se vêm barquinhos e não há ninguém a cantar o sole mio… Contudo, grande trânsito “marítimo”, pois já todos andam a tentar desentupir as zonas de escoamento de água, entupida de terra e raízes.
O dia resultou em confusão geral na ilha de Santiago, onde mais choveu, pois ninguém esperava que a primeira chuvada séria do ano fosse assim. Foi o caos. Acidentes, pessoas retidas em autocarros, um autocarro que quase caiu de um penhasco, a Cidade Velha foi invadida pela lama e várias estradas cortadas. Com o problema dos cortes de electricidade à mistura… a população anda com os nervos à flor da pele. A Protecção Civil não chegou para as encomendas. No meu hotel o gerador pifou mais uma vez e ficámos sem luz e água. Decidi ir trabalhar para o hotel vizinho, mas entretanto tudo regressou à normalidade.
No final do dia, o Sol rompeu, o calor, sempre mais que muito. De Julho a Setembro o tempo é mais quente e húmido e é a época das chuvas (quando chove…). Com esta chuva, a primeira barragem construída em Cabo Verde, aqui em Santiago (no concelho de Sta Cruz) e inaugurada em Julho deste ano vai começar a encher. Obra feita por chineses e oferta da República da China, estima-se que levará até 30 anos para encher completamente. Mas este é o primeiro caminho para aproveitar a água das intensas chuvas que, ao longo dos anos, se perde, quando escoa para o mar.
Na maior parte das ilhas, a agricultura é ainda a maior fonte de subsistência da população. E em Santiago o mesmo se passa. No interior, entre montanhas sinuosas e nas suas encostas, as gentes correram a lançar as sementes à terra. Em breve, o tom castanho-vermelho ficará coberto de côr verde. No ar ainda há um cheirinho a terra nolhada. A tchuba é a maior bênção por aqui.

Vês como o môrno da sôdade te faz balançar?...foi o k eu senti tb qdo essas terras áridas, selvagens e luzidias pisei, andei e ri e por fim chorei...chorei de felicidade e sabes o k me acompanhou...tchuba, tchuba da grossa k irritava fortemente a ânsia de ter sol e mergulhar nas águas cálidas dessas paragens..não falo propriamente em praia, pois essas areias em mim não provocaram desejo.
Não sei se já foste ou ainda irás ao Terrafal...lembro, com o costumado fio agudo e gelado subindo a "espinha", aquele espaço longínquo e solitário em tórrida região, silenciador da mente e da respiração gritar-me ao ouvido o sofrimento dos que lutavam por um país melhor e aí voltei a chorar e a amar quem não conheci mas que me ensinou a ser melhor....
Um misto de tantas coisas interiorizadas no pensamento que, depois, quando chegares, te confidenciarei em tom de surdina, para entre nós ficar, não vão as paredes ficar invejosas da nossa cumplicidade.
Como vejo que estás feliz, alegre fico aguardando mais novas.

Estou sempre curiosa para saber se há mais novidades tuas e assim que vi, não resisti em deixar um comentariozinho......
Vejo que a tão abençoada chuva também é uma grande complicação! Há bem pouco tempo costumavam dizer por aí que a chuva só chegava à água e que da terra, seca, apenas a viam ao longe. Felizmente a terra já lhe abriu os braços para a receber. Descobri recentemente a causa: há uma situação geográfica provocada pela CIT (Convergência Inter Tropical) que faz com que a tchuba só consiga chegar ao mar próximo de Cverde, por isso é que não banhava a terra! Depois explico-te melhor.
Há momentos pelos quais passas que te irão ficar para sempre na memória. Essencialmente odores e sensações. Entre vários, para mim, o cheiro da terra molhada de Moçambique, após uma boa chuvada, ainda vive em mim. Continuo a adorar o cheiro de terra e capim molhado!
Uma sugestão: procura os bogolans (espécie de tapetes feitos com soda caústica e cores terra-são uma "imitação" de um processo muito antigo que se fazia) que se fazem por aí. São uma loucura! Não são baratinhos...

Esta é uma criação adaptada à realidade de Cabo Verde:
Por que é que em Cabo Verde, sempre que passa uma iace
a) a vaca fica no meio da estrada e não reage;
b) a cabra foge espavorida;
c) o cão corre atrás da iace a ladrar furiosamente?
No tempo em que os animais falavam, a vaca, a cabra e o cão decidiram apanhar uma iace em Porto Novo e atravessar a ilha de Sto Antão até à Ribeira Grande. Acordaram o preço da viagem com o motorista e partiram.
Quando chegaram ao destino, a vaca, que tinha o dinheiro certo, pagou e foi-se embora tranquilamente. A cabra, um pouco constrangida, lembrou-se que não trazia dinheiro consigo, mas prometeu ao motorista pagar-lhe quando o voltasse a encontrar. O cão não tinha dinheiro trocado e, como o motorista não tinha troco para lhe dar, ficou com o dinheiro todo e combinaram que o motorista lhe dava o troco quando o voltasse a ver.
É por essa razão que, até aos dias de hoje, sempre que passa uma iace, a vaca fica indiferente à sua passagem, já que tem a sua consciência tranquila. Por outro lado, a cabra foge espavorida, pois sabe que está em dívida para com o motorista.
E o cão, coitado, corre atrás da iace e ladra-lhe furiosamente, já que nunca recuperou o seu troco...

If I know what files are causing the problem can I do the same thing, without harming my computer? 4. Can I take both hard drives, place them in external hard drive enclosures and have a friend with a clean computer scan them to find and remove the problem? 5. Could AVG be downloaded onto a thumb drive and then used to scan my computer? 6. Would it be possible to move files from the second hard drive to an external hard drive without infecting anything? 7. All my friends have Vista or Windows 7. I used Windows XP. If they decided to scan my computer would this cause a conflict with my drives. That is it for now. I am kind paranoid about downloading and installing anything right now. If you can answer all the questions and give me any direction I would greatly appreciate it.
